Apparently a BMI of exactly 25 was enough to prompt my doctor at\u00a0Kaiser Permanente to add &#8220;obesity&#8221; to my ongoing health conditions. While I would rather like to attribute my weight to height ratio to bulging muscles (hey, I&#8217;ve been working out!), I know that I could drop a few pounds.<\/p>\n<p>I used to be thin. Well, that is until I started a desk job. In high school, my weight dropped down below 130lbs. I&#8217;ll admit it was not a\u00a0healthy weight for someone 6&#8217;3&#8243; tall. 24 years later, here I am at 200lbs. Nobody would accuse me of being thin anymore. However, few\u00a0would call me fat, either. It&#8217;s not a bad weight, but I&#8217;d like to drop a few pounds.<\/p>\n<p>I already go to the gym about three times per week for an hour each session.\u00a0I like our trainer; she&#8217;s doing the best she can with us. But I also wanted something to do at home, every day.<\/p>\n<p>Enter Focus T25.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s \u00a0a 25 minute workout that I can do at home. The before and after pictures and stories are impressive (but then again, you never hear about those who give up after a week).<\/p>\n<p>So I started it yesterday. And here&#8217;s how it goes.<\/p>\n<p>Focus T25 Day 1 (Cardio)<\/p>\n<p>345 calories.<\/p>\n<p>Nailed it.<\/p>\n<p>I started in the morning, in the living room. I actually did pretty well. If I could\u00a0find the poster, I&#8217;d mark &#8220;Nailed it&#8221;. The moves were straightforward and not very advanced. I was winded a few times and had to modify, but for the most part, I could keep up.
